kindness, wisdom, and friendship that her family is continuing her
beautiful legacy through the Cody Dieruf Benefit Foundation.*
On May 13, 2006, the Foundation held the first annual Cody Dieruf

Cody began dancing
at age 3. She danced her way into the hearts of many, landing
the lead rolls in many productions and dancing each roll with angelic
grace. Cody danced until she was 18 years old when her physical
battle with Cystic Fibrosis forced her to retire her dance shoes.
In Cody's honor, The Dance Alliance Company held a Cody Dieruf Memorial Dance Workshop on the morning of May 13th from 8:00am to 11:30am in the Emerson Cultural Center, 111 South Grand Avenue (corner of Grand and Babcock). The workshop featured ballet, modern, and hiphop. At the conclusion of the morning, Cody Dieruf Memorial Dance Scholarships were awarded to dancers at the workshop who, like Cody, exhibited enthusiasm and passion for the art of dance. Special thanks to Dance Alliance for sponsoring this special event!
